Our Services

Every Program Your Child Qualifies For.
In the Right Order.

There is a specific sequence to accessing California's special needs support system. Start in the wrong place and you lose time. Miss a step and you lose access. JDMR Group exists to make sure neither happens to your family.

Strategic guidance through every step of the journey.

Most families come to us after months of trying to figure this out alone — after a denial, a missed deadline, or the quiet realization that other families seem to have access to things they don't. We start where you are and build a clear, ordered path forward.

The six programs below don't work in isolation. SSI unlocks Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal opens Regional Center. Regional Center leads to IHSS, CCS, and eventually the Self-Determination Program. Getting the sequence right is the difference between years of access and years of delay.

01

SSI Enrollment

Social Security

SSI is Step 1 for a reason — it provides monthly income support and automatically triggers Medi-Cal eligibility, the gateway to every program that follows. Most families assume their income disqualifies them. Most are wrong.

JDMR Group runs the deeming calculation, prepares documentation, and guides families through the application and appeals process.

What we help with:

  • Evaluating eligibility based on diagnosis and household income
  • Preparing and organizing medical documentation
  • Guiding families through the application and interview process
  • Supporting appeals if an initial application is denied
02

Medi-Cal Access

Healthcare Coverage

Medi-Cal unlocks Regional Center, IHSS, CCS, and every state waiver program that follows. SSI families enroll automatically. For those without SSI, multiple pathways exist — and JDMR Group knows which one fits.

Many enrolled families aren't accessing Medi-Cal's full scope. We identify what your child is entitled to — including services private insurance won't cover.

What we help with:

  • Understanding Medi-Cal eligibility for children with special needs
  • Identifying specialty programs such as IHSS, CCS, and waiver programs
  • Coordinating Medi-Cal with private insurance benefits
  • Requesting authorization for therapies and specialized services
03

Regional Center Services

Developmental Services

California's Regional Center system is one of the most comprehensive developmental disability networks in the country — yet most families don't access it until years after diagnosis. Services span therapies, respite care, and long-term planning.

JDMR Group navigates eligibility, the assessment process, and builds a strong Individual Program Plan reflecting the full scope of your child's needs.

What we help with:

  • Determining eligibility and identifying the correct Regional Center
  • Preparing for the intake and assessment process
  • Reviewing and strengthening the Individual Program Plan (IPP)
  • Understanding the Lanterman Act and family rights
04

IHSS & WPCS

In-Home Support

IHSS and WPCS compensate family members for the caregiving they already provide. For parents who have reduced or left employment to care for a child with special needs, this is meaningful income and recognition.

JDMR Group prepares families for the needs assessment and navigates enrollment — including the steps for parents to become paid providers.

What we help with:

  • Evaluating IHSS eligibility based on the child's functional needs
  • Preparing for the in-home needs assessment
  • Enrolling as a parent provider under IHSS or WPCS
  • Requesting fair hearings when authorized hours are insufficient
05

CCS & Specialty Medical

Medical Services

CCS provides specialized diagnostic care, treatment, therapies, and durable medical equipment for children with qualifying conditions. Most families don't know it exists — or that their child qualifies.

JDMR Group determines eligibility, navigates the referral process, and coordinates CCS benefits alongside Medi-Cal and Regional Center.

What we help with:

  • Identifying qualifying medical conditions for CCS eligibility
  • Navigating the CCS referral and authorization process
  • Requesting durable medical equipment through CCS
  • Coordinating CCS with Regional Center and Medi-Cal services
06

Self-Determination Program

Long-Term Planning

SDP is the most powerful option in the Regional Center system — giving families direct control over services, providers, and funding, replacing traditional service coordination with an individual budget they manage.

JDMR Group specializes in SDP implementation, including the Independent Facilitator role. We assess fit, prepare enrollment, and build a person-centered plan for your child's future.

What we help with:

  • Evaluating whether SDP is the right fit for the family's goals
  • Understanding the Individual Budget and how it is calculated
  • Building a person-centered plan for long-term support
  • Managing SDP spending plans and Financial Management Services (FMS)

The programs are real.
Access to them is not automatic.

California has built one of the most comprehensive support systems in the country for families with special needs children. Most of it goes unclaimed — not because families don't qualify, but because no one showed them the path.
