Our Story

We've Been in
Those Rooms.

JDMR Group was built by a family that navigated this system firsthand — from the NICU to every agency, caseworker, and program along the way. We exist because no family should have to learn all of this the hard way.

We Learned the System the Hard Way — Now We Help Families Navigate It.

Our family's journey began in the NICU. In those early days — surrounded by monitors, medical teams, and a language we had never been asked to speak before — the last thing anyone handed us was a roadmap. What came next was years of learning a system that was never designed to be understood by the people it was meant to serve.

We are professionals. We built careers, a household, a life — and suddenly found ourselves facing a question we weren't prepared for: do we give up who we are to care for our child, or do we risk missing the support our child needs because we don't have the time to figure it out alone?

The answer we found — after mistakes, after setbacks, after finally learning how these programs connect — is that you shouldn't have to choose. California has built one of the most comprehensive support systems in the country. The programs are real. The funding is real. What most families lack is a guide who has actually been through it.

That's what JDMR Group is. Knowledge earned the hard way — so your family doesn't have to.

Founder & Lead Advocate — Special Needs Father & Financial Advisor

I have been advocating for my son for twelve years — since he was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at just 16 weeks gestation. That moment changed everything. It sent us into a system we had no map for, no guide through, and no one to tell us what we were entitled to or how to access it.

Over the next twelve years, that map came together — piece by piece, program by program. There was no guide for it. No one handed us a roadmap or told us what we were missing. Everything was self-taught, learned through trial, error, and the very real cost of not knowing what we didn't know. Drawing on my background as a financial advisor and an MBA, I eventually developed a deep fluency in how California's support systems work — SSI, Medi-Cal, Regional Center, IHSS, CCS, and the Self-Determination Program — and how to access all of them without sacrificing the life your family has built.

JDMR Group exists because I know what it costs a family when no one shows them the way. I know what it means to be a professional, a provider, and a parent — all at once — and to wonder whether you can hold all of it together. You can. These systems are in place for a reason, and your child has the right to every support they provide.

"I will advocate for your child like they are my own — because I know what it looks like when the system works, and I know how to fight until it does."

What makes JDMR Group different.

We sit in a unique position between traditional advocates, legal professionals, and informal parent networks — with the expertise of all three.

01

Lived Experience

Our knowledge of California's special needs support systems comes from navigating them firsthand — not from a manual. We know where the gaps are and how to avoid them.

02

Strategic, Not Emotional

We approach each family's situation with clear-headed strategy. Our goal is to give you a structured roadmap — not just reassurance — so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

03

Family Stability First

Every recommendation we make is filtered through one question: does this protect the family's stability? Accessing support should never create new financial or logistical risks.

04

Systems Thinking

We don't look at programs in isolation. SSI, Medi-Cal, Regional Center, IHSS, CCS, and SDP are interconnected — and the order in which you access them matters significantly.

05

Time is a Resource

Most of our clients are working parents with limited time. We handle the research, documentation preparation, and process navigation so families can focus on their child.

06

Long-Term Partnership

Special needs support is not a one-time event. We build relationships with families and offer ongoing advisory to help them adapt as their child's needs evolve over time.

We help families navigate complex support systems including SSI, IHSS, Medi-Cal, Regional Center services, CCS, and the Self-Determination Program. Our consulting guides you through eligibility requirements, documentation, applications, and the process of actually accessing the resources your family needs — in the right order, without costly mistakes.

If you're navigating a special needs diagnosis and feel overwhelmed by paperwork, eligibility rules, or system navigation, we can help. We work with families at any stage of their journey — whether you've just received a diagnosis or have been navigating the system for years and feel like you're missing something. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.

We begin with a complimentary 30-minute consultation to understand your family's situation and goals. From there, we assess which programs your child may qualify for and develop a structured roadmap. We then provide guidance on applications, documentation preparation, benefit planning, and next steps — at a pace that works for your family. You stay in control of all decisions and the timeline.

We guide you through the process and help you understand exactly what's needed, but you'll remain involved in your family's applications and decisions. We're here to make the complexity manageable and ensure nothing is missed — not to replace your involvement. The process works best when families are informed and engaged, and that's what we help make possible.

Your initial consultation is complimentary — no cost, no obligation. Ongoing engagement fees depend on the scope of your family's needs and the level of support required. We design a fee structure that is clear, structured, and aligned with what your family actually needs. There is no commitment required until you are ready to move forward.

We are based in the Inland Empire — Highland, CA — and primarily serve families throughout Southern California. We work with families across San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties. Contact us to discuss availability for your specific location.

The easiest way to start is to schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation. You can call us at (909) 972-4458, email info@jdmrgroup.com, or use the contact form on our website. In that first call, we'll listen to your situation, answer your questions, and help you understand what a path forward might look like — with no pressure and no obligation.

These systems are complex, interconnected, and constantly changing. Navigating them on your own typically requires hundreds of hours of research — and mistakes made early in the process can limit options down the road. JDMR Group brings deep firsthand expertise so you don't have to spend months researching. We help you avoid common pitfalls, access programs in the right order, and find benefits your family might otherwise miss entirely.

It's never too late to access the support your child deserves.

Families can begin the process at any stage — regardless of how long they've been navigating the system. A 30-minute conversation is all it takes to find out what's possible.
